“Clankity Clank went the horses feet on the rocky soil of the 1800’s. Me, Emily, and my family are traveling west. We left about a month ago, and already have faced many troubles, Indian attacks, the wheels fell off our wagon, and we just got away from a band of bandits who came upon us in the woods. From the time we left Iowa, I keep a secret diary talking about our journey. I named it Westward Ho.” ………..10 Years Later…..”We are now in Texas. My sister and I help with cooking, plowing, planting, grooming, etc. Every so often my Papa goes to town to trade goods with our goods. We get clothes that my Mama cannot sew. We get food that we cannot grow.”…….50 Years Later…..”Now I’m an old lady. I still have memories of the past. I have my beloved diary, and my model of my covered wagon.” THE END.
